Catford's signature stock is the Corbett Estate, laid out by Archibald Corbett in the 1890s and 1900s as terraces and semis with front gardens, bay windows and long back gardens, sold with covenants that kept pubs off the estate. Two things shape the day. TfL has planning permission to realign the A205 South Circular through Catford and remove the Plassy Island one-way system, with highway works due to run for around two years from 2026, so routes through the town centre keep changing and we plan around them. And the water here is hard, so limescale on taps, screens and kettles takes longer to shift than people expect.

Regular housework. £22 per cleaner per hour weekly, £24 fortnightly. Same cleaner kept on your house.
One-off deep cleans. A team job: from £186 (two cleaners, three hours, plus £30 for kit and materials). Minimum charge on one-off work is £67.

My carpet is damp, not just dirty. Can you help?
Often, and we'll be straight about it. Streets on the low ground near the Ravensbourne and Ladywell Fields are prone to surface-water flooding, so ground-floor carpets and underlay in those roads are frequently damp rather than simply dirty. We'll tell you if extraction will fix it or if the underlay needs lifting first.
Can you work in a Corbett Estate house?
